Wild West Outlaws (Oculus Rift Game)

Hey Blondie! Great to see you again! You are probably wondering what I have been up to lately? Well, mostly I have been thinking about creating a little VR game for the Oculus Rift in my spare time (which I currently have little of). I want to create something that can be done with a very small team (2-3 guys) after work hour and weekends. I would love to work on it full time but I don’t have the necessary backing as it stands. Maybe that will change down the road who knows? I am a bit hesitant to take it to Kickstarter due to recent events and failures on KS I believe that people are a bit weary and careful.

Ah well, in any case… the game I got currently in the making is called “Wild West Outlaws” and is pretty much a Shooting Gallery type of game set in the Wild Crazy West! There will be several locations in the game leading up to a High-Noon Duel to take out the Final Bad Guy (Boss Duel) in the end.

My good friend Bjorn Hurri heard of my idea and wanted to help out so he will (and already is) taking care of Character Concepts and Models for use in the game engine. I also have Matthew Cook help me with environment/set designs while I am doing most of the environment and props modeling as well as texturing and lighting. Andreas Knauf will be helping with Code related tasks. As usual we’re using the Unity Game Engine and Autodesk Maya to create all art assets. More on everything soon!
