GeoShred is out!

Once again I had the pleasure to work with Jordan Rudess and MoForte on their new app called “GeoShred“! I was responsible for creating the visual user interface and various Sound Effect boxes. The effect boxes were created using Autodesk Maya LT, while 3D Coat was used to UV map and texture/design their skins. Finally, I used the Unity Game Engine to render out stills.

I think it turned out nicely! GeoShred is a powerful, musical instrument that offers a performance environment on a multi-touch surface unlike anything you’ve ever experienced.

GeoShred lets you create music using expressive physical modeling synthesis. You can achieve realistic guitar sounds, and also bend, stretch and manipulate the sound into endless possibilities.

You can explore, edit and control the mechanics of a guitar model – solid or hollow body, nylon or metal strings, pick position, harmonics and much, much more!
